Interview by Lon Woodbury

Ken Rabow, a life success coach in Toronto, Canada, was interviewed by Lon Woodbury, host of L.A. Talk Radio and creator of strugglingteens.com, regarding his work in empowering success for young adults.

Regarding Ken Rabow

Besides his life coaching work, Rabow is author of "The Slackers Guide To Success," which is available on Amazon.com. After having actually coached struggling teenagers and young adults since 2001, Rabow has developed a comprehensive system in his "The Slackers Guide to Success." His system entails 3 phases and 13 actions for any therapist or life coach to deal with young people.

Enabling Success for Young Adults

Throughout the hour long interview, Rabow went over why numerous young people self-sabotage every element of their possible future. Young people are up against unique obstacles in today's modern society-- the principles of success that worked in the past no longer do. There is no script on how to handle the various social dilemmas encountered by young people-- like fitting into a draconian schooling system or finding a job in a recessionary economic situation.

Subsequently, a new phenomenon has actually come up for Gen Y people-- winning at losing. Feeling stuck, young people act out by not competing in class courses, not studying, staying up late into the night, resting up most of the day and losing out on attending classes in their educational institution. Another big element is obsessive video gaming or flagrant drug abuse as a means to steer clear of emotional discomfort. Also those that are gifted could be off track.

Moms and Dads are often bewildered with this disengagement from taking part in society and are deeply frustrated at trying to identify ways to make their kid grow up and take responsibility.

Rabow provides parents and their stressed teenagers or young people a different method to get back on track when conventional therapeutic methods fail. He has established a special process, learned through trial and error, for empowering success for young people. He teaches young people how to regain self-belief and gather confidence-building wins in life.

When new clients come to see him, Rabow starts the process of developing a relationship by looking for the answer to 3 easy questions:

First: Are you satisfied with exactly how things are going in your life?

Second: Do you see your current means of being as a viable method?

Third: If you could be doing anything with your life, what passions would you wish to take on?

He coaches each young person to create a daily plan based on the client's interests. His book and his technique focus on empowering success for young adults, creating an emphasis on increasing self-confidence and utilizing a steady process of little victories to boost self-image in the capacity to do tasks effectively.
